This was a very unique story about a reunited love. I love how the author didn't make us wait in angst the whole book to see if they were going to get together. The story unfolded beautifully. There were some terminology issues on my part because I'm not familiar with climbing, but the glossary in the back helped.
Skylar and Rocky were best friends and just became an item when suddenly Sky's family had to move. With no further contact with Rocky per her mothers orders, he didn't know what to think. Then he had a ton of drama and heartache of his own to deal with because of his scum step father.
Anyway 4 years down the road, Sky finally comes back. Their story unfolds, but Rocky's step sister Anna doesn't want Rocky to have anything to do with Sky. The story got real intense once we found out the great lengths Anna will go to try to keep them apart.
Pick this up today and push it up on your TBR!

Getting Jacks and Ramsey's pov was enlightening. I knew I was on team jack for a reason! Ramsey is def too smooth and now I know why. He was attracted to Lexi because she looked like his ex.
At least Jack waited to do anything with Lexi until him and Danielle broke up.

Hold Us Close (Keep Me Still, #1.5)Hold Us Close by Caisey Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Landen and Layla are thrown some def tough obstacles and we get some answers and some resolve. I don't want to give the story away, but if I'm going to review I have to so beware!

Layla's aunt was able to put Layla on the waiting list to get her brain surgery, but Layla is unable to get the surgery because she is pregnant. Yay! How fun! Well not according to Landen! I totally did not see that reaction coming from him!! I figured since he had a crappy home life he'd like a chance at doing things right. Well...he flew off the handle. He doesn't want to be a dad...he doesn't want a family..and Layla is heartbroken...and honestly so was I! Landen's anger issues just kept escalating. Finally, he checked himself into a facility to help his anger. Unfortunately, he's not cured, but is managing it. Once he went to the facility, things progressed and he was getting excited about being a dad. He also was able to make up with the Colonel.

Four Seconds to Lose (Ten Tiny Breaths, #3) - K.A. Tucker

Four Seconds to Lose (Ten Tiny Breaths, #3)Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Best mother loving book I've read in a long time!!

What to say about Cain and Charlie?? Man!! I absolutely LOVED Cain!!! He is my new book boyfriend at the moment! KA Tucker is an excellent story teller and I'm loving this series!! Cain is a stressed strip club owner who is like no other. Most club owners are scum bags and run drugs through their clubs, but not Cain. He keeps his girls clean and helps them get their lives together. Cain has a dark past and is trying to constantly make up for his parents mistakes and how he thinks he let his sister down.
Charlie was also dealt a shitty hand. Her mother married a drug lord and died during child birth only to be raised by her step father. At a young age he started making her do drug drops and she knew she shouldn't have to do this, but felt an obligation to her step dad, plus was afraid for her life. She moved to Florida with a new identity courtesy of the 'loving' father. She was only supposed to drop drugs, but she ended up getting a job at Penny's strip club because she wanted to save money to get out from her stepdads thumb. Insert Cain and his need to save his girls, but Charlie is a mystery he can't solve. She's not opening up to him because she's afraid of what her step dad will do.
Cain and Charlie's story is a unique one and I can't wait for Ben and Nates story!!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So I didn't need to put this down at 73% bc the book ended at 85%. Weird. Anyway...as you can tell from below and my rating and love for the first book I wanted to LOVE this story. So so bad... I just couldn't get into it :( the story seemed forced. Like she was originally done with the book and then got so much hype from the readers that we wanted more so she made it happen, but the book seemed forced to me. There was no impending event building up. There was an event and then it was over and again and again other than that there was nothing for me. I will always love Cam and Andrews story, but this one didn't do it for me!

NEED THIS NOW!! This is like torture!! I read the first so long ago and canNOT wait to read it again - I just want book number 2 now now now!!!!

Ignite (Explosive #1) - Tessa Teevan

Ignite (Explosive, #1)Ignite by Tessa Teevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.25 stars! Review to come!!
This story is about a second chance at love. Alexa Sullivan and Jace McCallister were best friends in high school. They were always attracted to each other but no one ever led on to it, then on Jace's high school graduation he told her. Then dropped the bomb he was leaving for boot camp. Ouch! (view spoiler) Jace was unlike any hero I've read. He was always sensitive and conscious of Alexa's feelings. He wanted her happy. Well, a few life changes and misunderstandings and 10 years later they reunite. Alexa has just lost her husband and is grief stricken when her meddling sister makes her go to their 10 year reunion.
Jace and Alexa's journey was hard and beautiful and emotional. Having a husband in the military (thankful he doesn't deploy much) but I put myself in her shoes. I could feel her pain.
Anyway--a must read this year! Great debut novel!!

Only For You (Forever and Always, #1)Only For You by E.L. Todd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was given this ARC by the author for an honest review.

To say I devoured this would be an understatement! I didn't want to sleep last night so I could finish it! Review to come!

I devoured this book. I didn't want to put it down. It was a story about falling in love with your best friend. Something I haven't read much about and I loved all the twists and turns.
Scarlet was a strong heroine and I loved her. I immediately connected with her. She had a few weak moments, but who doesn't.
Now Sean, we had a love/hate relationship. I instantly loved him and how sensitive he was. I was just waiting and waiting for him to realize how in love he actually was with Scarlet, but he kept talking about his cheating ex, Penelope. Then, I started to dislike him because of his choices, but again he's a man and didn't realize the full situation at hand. Of course, he redeems himself to the nth degree!
I definitely would recommend this book! This author is one to watch!!

This book ends in a HEA, but definitely know there is more to the story. What happened with her parents? What ended up happening to her old sleezy boss? Why became of her best friend Janice? Can't wait to read the next installment!!

I was super excited for this to come out. I wanted to know the history between Colin and Jen. It was set up so vaguely in the prior books. For the most part I enjoyed their story, but it seemed really redundant and a lot of hot sex scenes (which is great don't get me wrong, but the book was based around it IMO). I thought we'd have Colin and Jen conversing more about their history together when Danny was alive, but we didn't get that. There was a lot internal monologue that was repeated too much and that's why I took off 1 star. Over all, a great story and will read the next book!!

Fantastic!!! I haven't ever read anything like it! Wonderful beautiful! Loved the story! Suspense to the max!! Definitely recommend this read. It's actually light even tho it's suspenseful.
Nox -- whoa! I love his broodyness in the beginning, but wow he has a sweet/soft side that I love and am so glad we were able to hear his side some of the time.
Lily was a firecracker. She was hilarious with her awkward moments and silly sarcastic remarks. Beautifully written!

Let It Be Me - Toni Aleo

Let it be MeLet it be Me by Toni Aleo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story, but I took away .5 stars for editing and .5 stars for the repeated dialogue the h had with herself. I started skimming because it was the same thing over and over in the beginning.
I really devoured this book and could overlook those 2 things bc the story was so captivating that I couldn't stop reading. I was so scared for her and was hoping she'd make it out alive. This book is definitely worth a read.

I'm in love with Caisey Quinn!!! Her books have not disappointed me yet! Landen oh Landen. What a sweetie! He was the sweetest most gentle man for Layla.

I wasn't sure what to think when I read the names Zara and Ham. Ham seems silly to me...I really like the name Graham. Anyway- I got used to it. I fell in love with this couple right off. It was very slow on the action and not "normal KA" but still a beautiful read.
Ham is definitely alpha male and a possessive hulk of a man. I loved him and all he stood for. I was confused in the beginning why all went down between the two and how long it took them to get together, but of course it was explained and so sad/sweet. Just love Ham!

This was a hard one. I think i had such high hopes I ruined it for myself. I had been anticipating Ally's story from the beginning of Indy's. I enjoyed the book, just felt like it was too drawn out and not enough action to be a Rock Chick Finale. I will always love KA and will always read her books. She has a way with descriptions and it makes you feel you are apart of her story. Ren was too sweet and Ally let you know she loved her man, repeatedly. I reallllly hope we get a glimpse of Darius and Malia's happily ever after!

I loved the witty banter in Sway's mind the most, but she had some funny analogies. Loved this book - there were a lot of errors with words and left out words, but the story definitely made up for it. The tattoo's they all got - I seriously Laughed out Loud to where my husband made fun of me...I couldn't quit laughing at their antics. Shey Stahl is a very talented writer, just needed a better editor this time around.
Jameson seemed a little corny at times(view spoiler). Ready for the next!!

*Bonus Chapter - Axel - Harper Sloan

So it's been a while since I've posted, so I knew my post had to be good!  Harper released a bonus chapter about a month ago! I am so stoked for the release of Cage so we can get more Hot Corps Security Boys!

BONUS CHAPTER <do not read unless you have read the full story of Axel!>

“Baby?”  I have been searching through the house for the last fifteen-minutes looking for my boys.  I swear Axel does this just see me laugh when I finally find them.
“Axel Reid, you come out now…I missed my boys today.”  Shaking my head in fake exasperation, I continue down the stairs with my soft laughter trailing behind me.  “Nate baby…mama’s home.  Where is my handsome man?”
I trip over a few of Nate’s toys and almost take my head off when I slip on his favorite toy motorcycle from Maddox. Axel must have brought it into the kitchen to keep Nate busy while he fixed for lunch.  I would be willing to bet he skipped Nate’s naptime, again, so that he could keep playing with him.  My man loves his son.
I stop my search for a few moments to pick up the blocks that are scattered all over the floor, then continue my mission to find my men.
I walk through the kitchen and out the back door.  Looking around the deck and our property beyond in search for my boys.  The sun warms my skin and the reflection from the lake blinds me momentarily.  Now that Nate is mobile we have been spending more and more afternoons enjoying springtime in Georgia.  Today is no different.  The sky is a dazzling blue with not one cloud in the sky.  The flowers we had planted along the pebbled path that leads down to the dock are in full bloom.  Everything about this once barren house screams life.  Our home.
A shiver of déjà vu wraps around my spine and whispers up my back when I see movement down at the end of the dock.  Sitting down with his legs dangling into the lake is my Axel.  His bronzed, naked back is the only thing I can see from my angle but judging by his soft swaying, my little man is nestled tightly in his strong arms.
I follow the pebble path, slipping off my shoes before continuing down the wooden planks.  I make sure to keep my steps slow and steady; careful to keep them unnoticeable.  I’m only a few steps behind him when his voice reaches my ears.
“…and then your mommy made me the luckiest man in the world.  Never thought my heart could get bigger until she told me you were coming.  You don’t know this now but one day you will, your mom…she thinks she is lucky to have us, but it’s the other way around my little man.  Blessed to the max.  So blessed, Nate.
My foot hits a loose board that moans in protest, earning me Axel’s attention.  “Damn, I was trying to sneak up on you.”  His smile is blinding in the late afternoon sun, his happiness is infectious.  And the best part, I helped put it there.
“Hey Princess…have fun on your search?”  His teasing tone causes my suppressed laughter to bubble out; shaking my head I crouch down and press my front tight against his warm skin.  My legs don’t even come close to falling off the side but I can still wrap my arms around his powerful frame.
“Hey you.  I missed my boys today.”  I kiss his cheek before looking over his shoulder at Nate.  “Ax, you can’t keep letting him chew on that…it’s so dirty!”  Reaching around, I gently remove Axel’s dog tags from Nate’s chubby fingers and gummy mouth.  “There’s mama’s handsome man.”
Nate starts squirming in Axel’s hold to reach me, obviously impatient with his father’s slow transfer.
“One of these days he will be happy just hanging out with his old man.”
“Don’t be such a baby,” I tease, “You know he loves his daddy, his mommy just happens to have his endless food supply!”
Axel shifts his position so he can pull me into his lap, holding both of us within his arms.  The instant rush of safety and love that always pours out of him wraps around us.
I cradle Nate in my arm and bring my shirt up so that he can reach my breast before laying my head down against Axel’s shoulder.  He brings his hand up and caresses Nate’s soft cheek, “I love you baby, but right now I am insanely jealous of our boy.”
“I can tell and if your jealousy doesn’t stop poking me in the rear I’m taking our baby inside.”
The vibrations of his laughter tickle my skin before his lips press lightly against my neck.
“Missed you today, Princess.” His whispers against my skin, “What kept you away so long?”
“Ax, I’ve been gone for three hours.” I laugh.
“Three hours too long.  I thought we decided weekends were spent home, just us.”
“We did but you know I had to take care of some wedding stuff and Dee is always so busy this was the only time we could get together.  Then Greg came over and we all just lost track of time.”
“I got it babe, doesn’t mean I don’t miss you when you aren’t around.  Plus Nate missed you so much he wanted to skip his nap and wait up.”
“Oh he did, did he?”
“Yup.  He said he would rather pass his time building block towers.”
“Ax, baby, you are ridiculous sometimes,” I rush out past my laughter.
“I know.  So, you ready to be my wife Princess?” His question warms my ears right before he nips my lobe lightly between his teeth, “You ready to finally be all mine.”
“I’m already yours and you know that.”
“Not until your last name matches mine and Nate’s.”
“I don’t need to have your last name to prove anything.”
“But you will.”  His voice loses some of his joking tone.  I know this is a sore subject but we had both agreed it would be best to wait until Nate was born.  Then we started planning and things just started taking longer.  With Nate just turning nine months old I know he is getting frustrated.
I ignore his question and lift Nate up to my shoulder.
“Da-da”
“See I told you, he only wants me to be his live in walking refrigerator!”
We both laugh and enjoy a few quiet moments sitting down on the dock.  It’s times like this when I realize just how lucky we are.  Axel was right, we are truly blessed.  Times spent with my soon to be husband and this perfect product of our love really bring that home.
I shift a sleeping Nate in my arms and snuggle closer to Axel.
“Princess, I need you to be mine.”  His softly spoken words break out silence.
“I know, Axel.  That’s what took me so long today.  Dee and I finished everything up.  Booked, paid for and confirmed.  Can you wait one more month?”
“What’s one month when we have waited this many years?”  I can tell he isn’t thrilled but still happy-ish knowing it is going to be soon.
Ax?  The day I become yours will be right up there with the birth of our son as the best day in my life.  I can’t wait, baby.”
His arms go solid for a second before he speaks, “I know.”  The smug tone in his words erase all signs of his earlier impatience away.
Cocky bastard.

Who would have thought a man whore would change his ways over meeting a woman in a bar who he knew nothing about? I love how she challenged him and didn't put up with his crap! Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1) - Sandi Lynn

Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1)Forever Black by Sandi Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Forever Black was an emotional story I didn't see coming. Conner and Ellery are two peas in a pod. Both stubborn as a mule, but amazing together. I really loved the story, but to me in the beginning the characters weren't fully developed.

I love how Ellery was her own woman. She didn't bow down and give herself over to him at the snap of his fingers. She was a breath of fresh air. It seems most of these h are so enthralled by the H they can't stand up for themselves or have their own lives. Conner was rich, hot, successful and charismatic -Ellery wasn't blind, but she didn't compromise who she was to be with him. (view spoiler)[She knew she didn't need to be in a relationship because of her illness, but he stalked her enough to where she couldn't help but fall for him. (hide spoiler)] Anyway, it seems their friendship only lasted 2 weeks and then they were in a relationship and in love. It just didn't seem realistic because he didn't do relationships or date. I realize a lot of things happened in their short amount of time together than threw them into the position they were in, but again it feels like the story could have been developed better--maybe more courting or IDK!
I can't wait to read the next installment...I love reading the Hero's point of view!

Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2)Dirty Red by Tarryn Fisher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So I devoured this book....I couldn't get enough of more Caleb, Leah, and Olivia's love triangle. I felt bad for Leah several times durning the story, but she kept making her bed..so she needed to lay in it. Her parents were awful and the only thing she loved (or thought she did) was the one thing who could never love her whole heartedly.
She pissed me off to no end with Estella. Her family was so awful to her, you would think she wouldn't want to be just like them..but no. She neglects her child then used her as a weapon to win back Caleb. Really?? How do you carry a child for 9 months and not feel anything for it?? Also, really...you cannot fix an already broken relationship with a child. I missed Olivia. Wished she had a chapter or 2. Ready for Thief! I'm ready to see how this complicated story ends!!

I also hate you at the same time, but I did read your warning! :) There is definitely a cliff hanger on this one, but its not as bad as I anticipated! Yes, there is more to the story, but you aren't left with a ton of questions unanswered.
Trace kept breaking my heart over and over. He is such a hot mess. And when I say HOT - I mean panty dropping, tight jeans and a cowboy hat hot! Trace is struggling with his career and finding himself through out this book. He keeps messing up, but he just breaks my heart when he doesn't think he deserves happiness.

Kylie is trying to show him he can have it all. His fame, family and dream. She is so strong especially without having a family to lean on. I can't imagine going on tour, press conferences, studio time and being so busy and trying to juggle all that plus a new relationship. I had a hard enough time juggling school, boyfriends and friends at nineteen. :)
Anyway, I don't want to give anything away..but go READ IT NOW! - I really enjoy Trace and Kylie's story...I cannot wait for book 3!! I need it like now!!!

Lick (Stage Dive, #1)Lick by Kylie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*Buddy Read with Leah!
4.5 Stars!
Oh David David David. The beginning of this one actually captured my attention. I don't know how many times I've been over the toilet because of too much tequila and definitely not remembering the night before. I instantly connected with Ev. I laughed and cried with this one. I was heart broken for David half the time and heart broken for Ev half the time. I can't wait for more of this series so we can see how Ev and David progress!

Easy - Tammara Webber

EasyEasy by Tammara Webber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't say enough wonderful things about this book. It's no surprise by my status updates I LOVE LUCAS! This will definitely be a re-read for me! I wish there were more of Lucas and Jacqueline..but it was left in a good place. I didn't highlight too much in this one because I was so engrossed in the story. I kept nearing the end and not wanting it to be over. I knew there was something behind Lucas' need to save and protect J, but we didn't find out until near the end. J was a strong h. She was a pretty normal college student. Not going to class bc of a break up, partying etc. all normal college stuff. I wished Lucas pushed her harder in the beginning to press charges...I'm not sure I could have kept what happened to me from my BFF for as long as she did. Erin was such a great BFF. She was the complete opposite of J with the Erin in a sorority, a cheerleader definitely more social than Jacqueline. It was instalove with those 2 and Erin always took up for her when her sorority sisters dissed her. I loved Erin. (view spoiler)[Breaking up with your boyfriend because he didn't believe the things that happened to her BFF..that's love. (hide spoiler)]
Now, Kennedy...I get his need to explore and want to get it out of his system, but damn don't tell that to your girlfriend. He actually wasn't a bad guy..I was shocked he believed her story, but discouraged her from reporting it. Man I wanted to slap him! If had a bf for 3 years and he valued his fraternity's reputation over my well being...whoa be unto him! Ugh!!

I will share the only few lines I highlighted.

J's revelation when her and Lucas finally have sex. "Oh.....so this is what all the fuss is about." Hahaha! That made me chuckle.
And of course another one of my "I love you" moments for Lucas: "what I can't do anywhere is be with you."
Yummm..and I love this description. I can imagine kissing with a lip ring would have that effect!
"The way he kissed me felt like a brand like he was tattooing himself under my skin." >
This is a MUST READ if you have not!!

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1) - Crystal Spears

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1)Seize Me by Crystal Spears
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 MC Stars
I knew going into this one with the warning that there was some intense matters and my romantic heart was not going to take these lightly. And boy, she wasn't lying with the warning. This review is going to be tough for me. There were so many issues involved in this book - so bare with me please :)

I gave it 4.5 stars because the story seemed a little rushed in the beginning. I know I’m in the minority here when I say I like some filler. I know bikers don’t woo nor do romance, but a week and things started spiraling out of control too quickly. I loved all the drama don't get me wrong…it made the story so intense and me not want to put the book down. I would have liked to get to know the characters better in the beginning.

I was riding the Braxxon train after these words: "Name's Braxxon baby and I wanna touch an Angel."

I liked how Braxxon was somewhat emotional. He is a biker therefore they don't do many "feelings", but he wasn't devoid of emotion. He had battles with himself wanting to express his feelings. Finally after he told Angel he loved her...I about lost it.

(view spoiler)[I definitely had a hard time with the cheating. Even though she gave him a free pass, I still don't think that was right. She knows how the biker world works, but he still did it. Yes, he felt like shit afterwards, but still. Also, when she was taking care of Pyro, he got jealous of the attention and made Bon Bon suck his cock..seriously?? right in front of everyone? I would have slapped his so hard he would have had a nice red hand print on the side of his face. Also, I had a really hard time with the rape. The author didn't spend too much time on this part, THANK GOODNESS, but obviously it is a part of the MC/Biker world. I can't imagine how else to deal with the pain and suffering she did. (hide spoiler)]

When Winter realizes her life has changed: "I know that I'll never be the same ever again. Braxxon has seized me, and something tells me he isn't letting me go."

Haha! This made me chuckle at her. She had her quirky moments...the bag of gummies was a little odd, but hey, everyone has their vice. "I hate that I hate him because I think I just might love him, all because of a bag of gummies that he knew I would need."

Another swoon worthy moment from Braxxon: "She's the only one I've seen in my thirty years, and I plan to keep her. I know she's the only one that exists. She was made for me. I need my Angel in my Hell."

Where he tells his brothers she is the ONE and there will be no others:
"Breakneck is the MC name, but its also a word for our family. He's asking if I'm laying claim of forever on her. That is the kind of claim we would risk everything for. "Breakneck," I repeat."

I was not expecting to love this book actually...the tough issues weren't as bad when Braxxon was around to save the day! I honestly CANNOT wait for Shadow! He was such a mystery, but you definitely know it'll be him and Tatiana!! YAY!

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2) - Monica Murphy

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2)Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm so glad I had this one right after I finished OWG. I was on a high of Drew + Fable and I just wanted them to end up together. They worked so hard and definitely deserved happiness. I can't get over how much I loved Fable. She was such a strong h. I knew her mother was a sorry SOB...I hope we find out more about why she abandoned her kids in the next book. Thank you Monica for continuing D+F story! I am truly intrigued with Jen and Colin. I hope they have their own series too...and I just looked it up!! YAY!!!!! The next book due out December 2013!!! *High school girl squeals!!!* There is so much mystery behind them as well.

Fable really surprised me...I pegged her as the clingy type since she didn't get any affection at home..no father figure or mother figure around to look up to. She stood her ground and confronted problems - honest and blunt. Always saying what was on her mind. She didn't put up with Drew's shit, but also was very compassionate and patient when he needed her the most. She broke my heart a few times because all she ever wanted to be was loved, but she wasn't going to sit around and be someone's puppet they can master. She was speaking to Drew when saying this: "Typical. I feel like a doll. Like a stupid, pretty doll no one cares about, forgotten on a shelf. Every once in a while, you or whoever else wants to take me down from the shelf and play with me for a bit. Just enough to get my hopes up and make me believe someone really cares about me. Then I'm forgotten again. Like I don't even exist...My mom was dead on when she named me Fable, wasn't she? I don't feel real to anyone." I think I shed a few tears reading that.
Drew was a closet romantic. He kept coming up with poems that made your heart melt.
"For a passion that's
Able to shine like ours
Blessed are we to
Love
Each other"

The shrink was so good for Drew. She said a few wise things: "Loving someone is taking a constant risk with your emotions. When you find the right person, the one you know you want to be with, that person becomes worth the risk."

A light bulb goes off and Drew tells Fable: "I've always run away in the past. But you, Fable. You make me want to stay." <~~ Such a sweet sweet boy!

One thing I REALLY loved about this story was the quotes in each chapter. "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever." - Winnie the Pooh

OR

"The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space." - Marilyn Monroe

(view spoiler)[One last quote by Drew:
"You keep me sane," I whisper. "You make my life worth living. Because of you, I'm a better man. And with you by my side as my wife, we can take on the entire world, baby. Just you and me." (hide spoiler)]

Definitely go and buy this book! SO WORTH IT!!

Penmort Castle (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #1) - Kristen Ashley

Penmort Castle (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #1)Penmort Castle by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was VERY hesitant to start this one because I'm not a huge paranormal fan. It was KA so of course I had to give it a try and a nudge from a friend helped. I am not disappointed. One thing bothered me and that was why it didn't get 5 stars. I kept having to re read sentences to see if they made sense. It was confusing a little because the book wasn't first person the whole time like KA books usually are. They were third but kind of first. It's hard to explain. Anyway, great story. Hot alpha as usual. Abby was so sweet. She had been dealt a shit hand and was trying to make do with it and then Cash comes along. I felt so much for Abby. My heart literally constricted so many times I thought I was her. That's what I love so much about KA she makes you feel her characters. Then the supporting characters like Mrs. Truman! "Pah!" Haha she made me laugh a lot with her old batty attitude.
Cash and Abby have an unusual start to a relationship and it was so intriguing. It sucks you in...then things do a 180...and it's magnificent.

Cash telling Abby:
"I'll wait darling. We have all the time in the world."
And another:
"So, darling, I'm going to show you off any chance I get. If you don't like that, tough. You're going to have to get over it."
Beautiful! Or as Cash would say exquisite.

As curious as I am about the next book in the series I'm going to need a ghost break.

One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) - Monica Murphy

One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1)One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Second book this week that had the Pretty Woman theme. Loved it though. I was really connected to both of the characters. I loved how Fable was as strong as they come. She has been dealt a shitty hand. The caregiver for her brother and alcoholic mother. She has had to sacrifice so much. She works at a bar and couldn't go to college because she needed to make sure her brother was cared for and fed. She was approached by the hot football star rich boy who had it all, Drew Callahan. Little did she know he was more broken than she was. Thinking money could buy you happiness and all the clichés she fed into. Drew and Fable crossed paths only at the bar. Drew was a rich handsome guy who could have any girl. Fable was the poor townie. Drew approached Fable to be his pretend girlfriend for a week over Thanksgiving. He paid her $3,000 and all she would have to do is be a pretend girlfriend. Easy enough right? $3k was a lot to Fable and would help out tremendously. Fable decided to go on this adventure, but tell her brother something different. She couldn't let him know what she was doing. As for telling her mother, she didn't have to tell her anything. She wouldn't even notice she was gone. Drew and Fable arrived at his mansion. He hated coming home and especially this time of year. Drew was full of secrets Fable was beginning to realize. She thought he had his life put together, but she soon realizes he doesn't. After meeting Drew's screwed up family, she learned quickly money will not buy everyone happiness. There was so much bitterness in the air when first meeting Adele, the stepmother and Drew's father. Drew doesn't want to let Fable in. She is a strong h and is very persistent. After several days, they finally start opening up to each other. Drew is far more damaged than Fable originally thought. Drew has a lot of skeletons in his closet, some he doesn't even know about. You will have to read the story to find out what those are and how and if they overcome it. I loved this story. Drew and Fable were so easy to love. I'm ready to read book 2, but needed to get this review done otherwise I would forget which book held what. Happy Reading!

Tidal - Emily Snow

TidalTidal by Emily Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an epilogue. 4.25 stars! The extra .25 was because of the epilogue!!
I wasn't blown away with this story, but was definitely intrigued. The story reminded me of several celebrities in the tabloids we hear about. I was saddened and heartbroken for Willow. There were a lot of hidden factors that made Willow act the way she did and my heart broke all over again for her once those secrets were exposed.
I loved Cooper, but always felt he was hiding something. I was definitively cheering for him because he had such a tender heart. I wondered why he fell into such a protective role when it came to Willow. That baffled me, but made sense later. He didn't assume and he was open minded when it came to Wills and her side of the story.
I thought the story was a little slow that's why it wasn't a full 5 stars, but the epilogue had me in tears. Such a beautiful thing Cooper is.

Love Thy Neighbour (Friend-Zoned, #2)Love Thy Neighbour by Belle Aurora
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved Asher and Nat's story!!! Gah! I am in love with Ghost. He is such a strong guy and he didn't give up on Nat!!!
This book had humor, romance, hotness, as well as some emotional. I found myself tearing up at the end. This was a great read and I can't wait to read the next installment of this series. What a great group of friends who all have each others backs. My favorite book series are where you find out what's going on in the lives of the other characters in the next books to follow!
This was the first 2% I knew I was going to love this book!!
"I wouldn't say I'm a slut. I'm just in touch with my inner slut. And, let me tell you, she rocks." Bhahaha!
Then ask tells Nat: "you're like pain relief to me. I can't explain it. You just are." Swoon!! Last one:
"Do you? You know? Love her?" Asher says "She's teachin' me how." Awwwwww so sweet!!!! Ok! Go read it!!

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2 - Colleen Hoover

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2)Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think I found my Dean Holder!!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

"Because I want to kiss her and make love to her and marry her and make her have my babies and I want it all to happen tonight." Hehehe I loved having Holders POV. I started reading the book side by side because I wanted to compare each sentence and feelings on both sides...and it was as passionate and beautiful as Hopeless was. I definitely recommend this book not only because we had more Holder, but we got a peek inside the story with Les. Les had a huge role in this story even if she wasnt alive, but we found out more and more about her and her life.

Six texting Sky:
"Sky, you are beautiful. You are possible the most exquisite creature in the universe and if anyone tells you otherwise, I'll cut the bitch." -- the last sentence sounds like something one of my friends would say.

"Let me inform you of something," I say, lowering my voice. "The moment my lips touch yours, it will be your first kiss. Because I'd you've never felt anything when someone's kissed you, then no one's ever really kissed you. Not the way I plan on kissing you." I love the way Holder loves Sky.
(view spoiler)[ this book unfolds and gives more detail and reasonings as to why he acts the way he does and specifically when he finds out Sky is Hope. (hide spoiler)]
You definitely HAVE to read Hopeless before reading this one.

"I need this. I need to know for sure that you're feeling every single thing that I'm feeling the moment my lips touch yours. Because. I want your first kiss to be the best first kiss in the history of first kisses."
I found few other pics of my Holder.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
Love his innocent baby face.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Holder is so sweet...it's not gross sweet, but super sweet! "Time has completely stopped, and all I'm thinking about while we kiss is how this is what saves people. Moments like these with people like her are what make all the suffering worth it."
I'm going to quote the whole damn book here soon! Most people I know don't prefer to read the same book with a different point of view, but I love love love Holder and I loved this one! Def recommend!

This Girl (Slammed, #3)This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never thought I could love Will more than I do now! So many questions answered. I absolutely loved the format of this book. It was perfect. He was telling Lake his story of how and when he fell in love with her. I was so stunned at the ending of Point of Retreat that there was no epilogue or a peak at their honeymoon. Definitely a great ending to the series!!!! Love!!

I butterflying loved it!!!!! The ending sucked tho lol!! I want more!! Keirsten was hilarious! I loved her character. She was so blunt and told you like it was..no holding back! I'm so glad Mrs. Hoover decided to continue the story with "This Girl". I needed the epilogue that Point of Retreat didn't have and the different sides of the story we got from Will, the poems/slams he wrote without her knowing. BUTTERFLYING BEAUTIFUL!!! Mrs. Hoover is AMAZEBALLS and will definitely be a must read whatever she writes! I was shocked to find out about Vaughn and Reece..what douches!

Slammed (Slammed, #1)Slammed by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! I'm speechless as I ugly cry! Such an emotional read. I didn't expect that ending! Gotta figure out how to write a review for this damn book!

Here goes nothing! I had no idea this book was going to be about this!! Wow! I knew New Adult and YA books were deep...but damn if I'm not ugly crying at the end of this one! From the beginning, I knew I was going to love Will, but wow...I didn't realize how much until the end of this book! He had to grow up fast after a tragic accident. He wanted guardianship of his 7 year old brother so much that he gave up his college life, girlfriend, and life in general to be his brothers world. He realized how much his brother meant to him. Now...that is commendable! Two years later, Lake also had a rough sequence of event happen to where she had to move to Michigan and leave her senior year of high school. She was so bitter about leaving, but never let it bother her relationship with her brother. She doted on him throughout the whole book. I loved it. Most 9 year olds get on your nerves, but she never acted as though he was a burden.
I don't want to give the story away, because it was too good not to read, but a lot of stuff goes down that is totally unexpected and I just love Will even more...didn't think it was possible but...wow!!! Her mom gave some sound advice: "find a balance between head and heart." Don't always follow your heart..listen to your head too! But don't just listen to your head...listen to your heart as well. Love it!

Axel - Harper Sloan

Axel (Corps Security, #1)Axel by Harper Sloan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could be bias because I read every installment while it was being written, whilst texting the author and emailing back and forth constantly. I am super excited for Harper to get this thing published and out to the public. No one should go on without an Axel fix. He should be on EVERY favorites shelf. I have not re-read it completely all the way through, and CANNOT wait to get the finished copy to read it all the way through. I can't get over how awesome the characters are in this book.
Each book I've read while reading Axel has not come close to comparing to his Alpha hotness! Harper is a VERY talented writer and the scenes she explains makes you feel you are witnessing it first hand. I had goosebumps, tears, sadness, and laughter throughout this book. I can say she is an emotional author and you FEEL. This is the best part of a book for me. I LOVE FEELING THE CHARACTERS. Mrs. Sloan has already perfected this with her first book.
She has also created amazing supporting characters. If you could have seen my goofy grin when Harper and I were conversing about each character, I would be super embarrassed. I will write a full review once I complete this all the way through. I can't wait for all the reviews to come pouring in.
Please recommend this book to all your friends.

Bad Things (Tristan & Danika, #1)Bad Things by R.K. Lilley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow!!! What a story!!! Luckily this book was not a cliff hanger! There is definitely more to the story, but thankfully they are happy...for now!

Tristan and Danika were both introduced in James and Bianca's story. Unfortunately, Bianca did not make an appearance in this one :( apparently, James and her hadn't even met yet.

From the very beginning Tristan and Danika were fast friends. They did everything together. I just knew it was going to be a friendship, turn best friends, turned lovers and they lived happily ever after. Well...that's not exactly how it went. There were a lot of bumpy roads ahead for their relationship. Tristan didn't do relationships and Danika didn't do hook ups. Tristan was burned in his past and it ruined him for his romantic relationships. When he and Danika were friends, he made me feel like there was no one else, but her for him. Then he'd go and do something stupid. He pissed me off several times, but of course, there was a lot of hot sexy time for the make up sex.
This is a must read after the Up in the Air series!
A few panty dropping lines:
"I want you to let go. I want you to submit. I want to make you lose your mind. I want you to be so far gone that the only word left in your vocabulary is my name."

"But, sweetheart, listen carefully, when I say that I don't need anybody but you, what I mean is that I never have. I need you. I've never needed anyone or anything the way I need you. I need you in a way that would break me if I lost you. Being with you makes every part of my life better. Every second I get with you is the best second of my life. I'm not good at expressing myself, not like you are, but I treasure this thing between us. Don't think I don't."
There were several more, but definitely read it!

R.K. Lilley - props!! I love you! Mr. Cavendish was yummy and so was Tristan. You definitely didn't disappoint. Please hurry with book 2!!!

Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1) - KA Tucker

Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1)Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The beginning of the book was intense.
I instantly loved Kacey. Her witty comebacks and sarcastic comments were hilarious. Kacey picked up and moved her sister across the country to get away from their guardians after a horrific accident that Kacey was the only to survive. She never properly dealt with the emotions that came with the accident. After Livie, Kacey's sister, was almost molested by their uncle...the supposed Christian guardians, Kacey decided to be Livie's guardian. They had no money or skills, but Kacey wanted what was best for her sister.
They up and moved to Miami, far away so no one could find them. Livie enrolled in school, Kacey found a job and they moved into a cheap apartment. Kacey wasn't very good at making friends, but Livie did just fine. Kacey had different quirks she had because she buried her emotions/feelings because of the accident. She met her neighbor Storm and her daughter Mia and they became instant family even though Kacey tried to keep everyone at arms length. Eventually, she met the new hot neighbor in 1D. Trent had the panty dropper smile, the hot bod and beautiful shaggy hair. Who wouldn't fall for him. Kacey was definitively not immune to his charms. She lost her tongue when he was around. Couldn't make a coherent sentence even. I love their chemistry. He made her feel again. He also betrayed her and it left me depressed for Kacey. Things that came out about Trent nearly undid me!! So many secrets and lies, but it was all with good intentions and forgivable. I loved this book! Definitely a must read! I'm excited for Livie's story! She so innocent and can't wait to go where this author takes us!!

It Had to Be You (Lucky Harbor, #7)It Had to Be You by Jill Shalvis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ARC was provided by Grand Central Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I knew going in this book was going to be fluff. After some of the more serious books I've read lately, I really enjoyed the quick light read. This book was perfect for me right now. Ali was a good strong character who stood her ground. She was no mooch and always paid her way. She ended up falling for a douche (view spoiler)[who was doing half the town (hide spoiler)]. After the douche screwed her over she gave up on all men. She wanted to make her way for herself, but found herself in mroe trouble than she expected. Nothing of her doing, but nonetheless, she was being questioned. Insert Luke. Hot demanding detective who wanted to get away from his life actually landing himself right in the middle of Ali's. You could feel the electricity of their connection through the book. I really loved watching their love grow even though they both knew it wasn't supposed to be. Such a cute series. Haven't been disappointed by Mrs. Shalvis yet! Keep 'em coming!

Twisted Perfection (Perfection, #1)Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I really wasn't sure I was going to love Woods. The first 2 books I kinda thought he was a horny rich boy. The way Rush used to look at him when he was talking to Blaire rubbed me the wrong way. I knew he was a nice guy, just figured he was privileged and got everything he wanted and was only nice when it suited him. But after book 3 of Rush and Blaire's, I got a taste of Woods and Della's relationship and I was hooked!! A little annoyed it ended in a cliff hanger, but at least they were happy and there is more to the story!! Della's story is heartbreaking and I like how the author didn't tell us all what was going on..it was a mystery and I loved how Woods could sooth her like no one else! I also hope Tripp gets a story! He was so sweet. "Not everyone sees you the way you do. Sometimes our imperfections are what makes us special."

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness, # 2)Darkness Before Dawn by Claire Contreras
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm not sure I will be able to write a great review or one that does this series justice. I do want to say Im glad I had book 2 handy, I may have tried to claw some bitches eyes out. Blake and Cole had a rough life and pulled each other out of darkness and into the light.
I haven't read a series lately where I didn't want to ring the heroines neck. Most of the time they annoy me at the miscommunication or petty immature crying, but Blake didn't do that for me!! Yay! Yes, I questioned her decisions, but hell they were mostly justified.
Anyway, there are no fitting words for Cole. He had some amazingly sweet lines.
The epilogue was fantastic! PERFECTION.

*I had a better review, but GR decided not to save all of it...sorry!

Jet (Marked Men, #2) - Jay Crownover

Jet (Marked Men, #2)Jet by Jay Crownover
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.25 to 3.5 stars
I had such high hopes for this one. I LOVED Rule and re read it to get into Jet. I don't know if it was the guy on the cover that ruined Jet for me or if I just couldn't picture a metal head. Ayden got on my nerves close to 60% of course bc she wants to handle everything on her own.
I also wanted more of Rule in it...maybe because I liked him more. I can read Rule again and not get tired of him, I don't think I'd read this one again. Don't get me wrong it was good, just not as good as Rule. I'm very intrigued to read Rome and Cora's story next. The epilogue set that one up good!!!

Jet was so much more "into" the relationship than she was, and I think I had a hard time with that the most.
"I'll sing you anything you want, Ayd, if it means you keep looking at me the way you're looking at me right now. The long run can take care of itself much later."
