Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1) - Sandi Lynn

Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1)Forever Black by Sandi Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Forever Black was an emotional story I didn't see coming. Conner and Ellery are two peas in a pod. Both stubborn as a mule, but amazing together. I really loved the story, but to me in the beginning the characters weren't fully developed.

I love how Ellery was her own woman. She didn't bow down and give herself over to him at the snap of his fingers. She was a breath of fresh air. It seems most of these h are so enthralled by the H they can't stand up for themselves or have their own lives. Conner was rich, hot, successful and charismatic -Ellery wasn't blind, but she didn't compromise who she was to be with him. (view spoiler)[She knew she didn't need to be in a relationship because of her illness, but he stalked her enough to where she couldn't help but fall for him. (hide spoiler)] Anyway, it seems their friendship only lasted 2 weeks and then they were in a relationship and in love. It just didn't seem realistic because he didn't do relationships or date. I realize a lot of things happened in their short amount of time together than threw them into the position they were in, but again it feels like the story could have been developed better--maybe more courting or IDK!
I can't wait to read the next installment...I love reading the Hero's point of view!

Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2) - Tarryn Fisher

Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2)Dirty Red by Tarryn Fisher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So I devoured this book....I couldn't get enough of more Caleb, Leah, and Olivia's love triangle. I felt bad for Leah several times durning the story, but she kept making her bed..so she needed to lay in it. Her parents were awful and the only thing she loved (or thought she did) was the one thing who could never love her whole heartedly.
She pissed me off to no end with Estella. Her family was so awful to her, you would think she wouldn't want to be just like them..but no. She neglects her child then used her as a weapon to win back Caleb. Really?? How do you carry a child for 9 months and not feel anything for it?? Also, really...you cannot fix an already broken relationship with a child. I missed Olivia. Wished she had a chapter or 2. Ready for Thief! I'm ready to see how this complicated story ends!!

Girl on Tour (Kylie Ryans, #2) - Caisey Quinn

Girl on Tour (Kylie Ryans, #2)Girl on Tour by Caisey Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So if this one didn't pull at my heart strings too! WOW - I love you Caisey Quinn! I also hate you at the same time, but I did read your warning! :) There is definitely a cliff hanger on this one, but its not as bad as I anticipated! Yes, there is more to the story, but you aren't left with a ton of questions unanswered.
Trace kept breaking my heart over and over. He is such a hot mess. And when I say HOT - I mean panty dropping, tight jeans and a cowboy hat hot! Trace is struggling with his career and finding himself through out this book. He keeps messing up, but he just breaks my heart when he doesn't think he deserves happiness.

Kylie is trying to show him he can have it all. His fame, family and dream. She is so strong especially without having a family to lean on. I can't imagine going on tour, press conferences, studio time and being so busy and trying to juggle all that plus a new relationship. I had a hard enough time juggling school, boyfriends and friends at nineteen. :)
Anyway, I don't want to give anything away..but go READ IT NOW! - I really enjoy Trace and Kylie's story...I cannot wait for book 3!! I need it like now!!!

*Buddy Read with Leah!
4.5 Stars!
Oh David David David. The beginning of this one actually captured my attention. I don't know how many times I've been over the toilet because of too much tequila and definitely not remembering the night before. I instantly connected with Ev. I laughed and cried with this one. I was heart broken for David half the time and heart broken for Ev half the time. I can't wait for more of this series so we can see how Ev and David progress!

Easy - Tammara Webber

EasyEasy by Tammara Webber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't say enough wonderful things about this book. It's no surprise by my status updates I LOVE LUCAS! This will definitely be a re-read for me! I wish there were more of Lucas and Jacqueline..but it was left in a good place. I didn't highlight too much in this one because I was so engrossed in the story. I kept nearing the end and not wanting it to be over. I knew there was something behind Lucas' need to save and protect J, but we didn't find out until near the end. J was a strong h. She was a pretty normal college student. Not going to class bc of a break up, partying etc. all normal college stuff. I wished Lucas pushed her harder in the beginning to press charges...I'm not sure I could have kept what happened to me from my BFF for as long as she did. Erin was such a great BFF. She was the complete opposite of J with the Erin in a sorority, a cheerleader definitely more social than Jacqueline. It was instalove with those 2 and Erin always took up for her when her sorority sisters dissed her. I loved Erin. (view spoiler)[Breaking up with your boyfriend because he didn't believe the things that happened to her BFF..that's love. (hide spoiler)]
Now, Kennedy...I get his need to explore and want to get it out of his system, but damn don't tell that to your girlfriend. He actually wasn't a bad guy..I was shocked he believed her story, but discouraged her from reporting it. Man I wanted to slap him! If had a bf for 3 years and he valued his fraternity's reputation over my well being...whoa be unto him! Ugh!!

I will share the only few lines I highlighted.

J's revelation when her and Lucas finally have sex. "Oh.....so this is what all the fuss is about." Hahaha! That made me chuckle.
And of course another one of my "I love you" moments for Lucas: "what I can't do anywhere is be with you."
Yummm..and I love this description. I can imagine kissing with a lip ring would have that effect!
"The way he kissed me felt like a brand like he was tattooing himself under my skin." >
This is a MUST READ if you have not!!

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1) - Crystal Spears

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1)Seize Me by Crystal Spears
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 MC Stars
I knew going into this one with the warning that there was some intense matters and my romantic heart was not going to take these lightly. And boy, she wasn't lying with the warning. This review is going to be tough for me. There were so many issues involved in this book - so bare with me please :)

I gave it 4.5 stars because the story seemed a little rushed in the beginning. I know I’m in the minority here when I say I like some filler. I know bikers don’t woo nor do romance, but a week and things started spiraling out of control too quickly. I loved all the drama don't get me wrong…it made the story so intense and me not want to put the book down. I would have liked to get to know the characters better in the beginning.

I was riding the Braxxon train after these words: "Name's Braxxon baby and I wanna touch an Angel."

I liked how Braxxon was somewhat emotional. He is a biker therefore they don't do many "feelings", but he wasn't devoid of emotion. He had battles with himself wanting to express his feelings. Finally after he told Angel he loved her...I about lost it.

(view spoiler)[I definitely had a hard time with the cheating. Even though she gave him a free pass, I still don't think that was right. She knows how the biker world works, but he still did it. Yes, he felt like shit afterwards, but still. Also, when she was taking care of Pyro, he got jealous of the attention and made Bon Bon suck his cock..seriously?? right in front of everyone? I would have slapped his so hard he would have had a nice red hand print on the side of his face. Also, I had a really hard time with the rape. The author didn't spend too much time on this part, THANK GOODNESS, but obviously it is a part of the MC/Biker world. I can't imagine how else to deal with the pain and suffering she did. (hide spoiler)]

When Winter realizes her life has changed: "I know that I'll never be the same ever again. Braxxon has seized me, and something tells me he isn't letting me go."

Haha! This made me chuckle at her. She had her quirky moments...the bag of gummies was a little odd, but hey, everyone has their vice. "I hate that I hate him because I think I just might love him, all because of a bag of gummies that he knew I would need."

Another swoon worthy moment from Braxxon: "She's the only one I've seen in my thirty years, and I plan to keep her. I know she's the only one that exists. She was made for me. I need my Angel in my Hell."

Where he tells his brothers she is the ONE and there will be no others:
"Breakneck is the MC name, but its also a word for our family. He's asking if I'm laying claim of forever on her. That is the kind of claim we would risk everything for. "Breakneck," I repeat."

I was not expecting to love this book actually...the tough issues weren't as bad when Braxxon was around to save the day! I honestly CANNOT wait for Shadow! He was such a mystery, but you definitely know it'll be him and Tatiana!! YAY!

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2) - Monica Murphy

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2)Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm so glad I had this one right after I finished OWG. I was on a high of Drew + Fable and I just wanted them to end up together. They worked so hard and definitely deserved happiness. I can't get over how much I loved Fable. She was such a strong h. I knew her mother was a sorry SOB...I hope we find out more about why she abandoned her kids in the next book. Thank you Monica for continuing D+F story! I am truly intrigued with Jen and Colin. I hope they have their own series too...and I just looked it up!! YAY!!!!! The next book due out December 2013!!! *High school girl squeals!!!* There is so much mystery behind them as well.

Fable really surprised me...I pegged her as the clingy type since she didn't get any affection at home..no father figure or mother figure around to look up to. She stood her ground and confronted problems - honest and blunt. Always saying what was on her mind. She didn't put up with Drew's shit, but also was very compassionate and patient when he needed her the most. She broke my heart a few times because all she ever wanted to be was loved, but she wasn't going to sit around and be someone's puppet they can master. She was speaking to Drew when saying this: "Typical. I feel like a doll. Like a stupid, pretty doll no one cares about, forgotten on a shelf. Every once in a while, you or whoever else wants to take me down from the shelf and play with me for a bit. Just enough to get my hopes up and make me believe someone really cares about me. Then I'm forgotten again. Like I don't even exist...My mom was dead on when she named me Fable, wasn't she? I don't feel real to anyone." I think I shed a few tears reading that.
Drew was a closet romantic. He kept coming up with poems that made your heart melt.
"For a passion that's
Able to shine like ours
Blessed are we to
Love
Each other"

The shrink was so good for Drew. She said a few wise things: "Loving someone is taking a constant risk with your emotions. When you find the right person, the one you know you want to be with, that person becomes worth the risk."

A light bulb goes off and Drew tells Fable: "I've always run away in the past. But you, Fable. You make me want to stay." <~~ Such a sweet sweet boy!

One thing I REALLY loved about this story was the quotes in each chapter. "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever." - Winnie the Pooh

OR

"The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space." - Marilyn Monroe

(view spoiler)[One last quote by Drew:
"You keep me sane," I whisper. "You make my life worth living. Because of you, I'm a better man. And with you by my side as my wife, we can take on the entire world, baby. Just you and me." (hide spoiler)]

Definitely go and buy this book! SO WORTH IT!!

Penmort Castle (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #1) - Kristen Ashley

Penmort Castle (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #1)Penmort Castle by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was VERY hesitant to start this one because I'm not a huge paranormal fan. It was KA so of course I had to give it a try and a nudge from a friend helped. I am not disappointed. One thing bothered me and that was why it didn't get 5 stars. I kept having to re read sentences to see if they made sense. It was confusing a little because the book wasn't first person the whole time like KA books usually are. They were third but kind of first. It's hard to explain. Anyway, great story. Hot alpha as usual. Abby was so sweet. She had been dealt a shit hand and was trying to make do with it and then Cash comes along. I felt so much for Abby. My heart literally constricted so many times I thought I was her. That's what I love so much about KA she makes you feel her characters. Then the supporting characters like Mrs. Truman! "Pah!" Haha she made me laugh a lot with her old batty attitude.
Cash and Abby have an unusual start to a relationship and it was so intriguing. It sucks you in...then things do a 180...and it's magnificent.

Cash telling Abby:
"I'll wait darling. We have all the time in the world."
And another:
"So, darling, I'm going to show you off any chance I get. If you don't like that, tough. You're going to have to get over it."
Beautiful! Or as Cash would say exquisite.

As curious as I am about the next book in the series I'm going to need a ghost break.

One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) - Monica Murphy

One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1)One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Second book this week that had the Pretty Woman theme. Loved it though. I was really connected to both of the characters. I loved how Fable was as strong as they come. She has been dealt a shitty hand. The caregiver for her brother and alcoholic mother. She has had to sacrifice so much. She works at a bar and couldn't go to college because she needed to make sure her brother was cared for and fed. She was approached by the hot football star rich boy who had it all, Drew Callahan. Little did she know he was more broken than she was. Thinking money could buy you happiness and all the clichés she fed into. Drew and Fable crossed paths only at the bar. Drew was a rich handsome guy who could have any girl. Fable was the poor townie. Drew approached Fable to be his pretend girlfriend for a week over Thanksgiving. He paid her $3,000 and all she would have to do is be a pretend girlfriend. Easy enough right? $3k was a lot to Fable and would help out tremendously. Fable decided to go on this adventure, but tell her brother something different. She couldn't let him know what she was doing. As for telling her mother, she didn't have to tell her anything. She wouldn't even notice she was gone. Drew and Fable arrived at his mansion. He hated coming home and especially this time of year. Drew was full of secrets Fable was beginning to realize. She thought he had his life put together, but she soon realizes he doesn't. After meeting Drew's screwed up family, she learned quickly money will not buy everyone happiness. There was so much bitterness in the air when first meeting Adele, the stepmother and Drew's father. Drew doesn't want to let Fable in. She is a strong h and is very persistent. After several days, they finally start opening up to each other. Drew is far more damaged than Fable originally thought. Drew has a lot of skeletons in his closet, some he doesn't even know about. You will have to read the story to find out what those are and how and if they overcome it. I loved this story. Drew and Fable were so easy to love. I'm ready to read book 2, but needed to get this review done otherwise I would forget which book held what. Happy Reading!

Tidal - Emily Snow

TidalTidal by Emily Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an epilogue. 4.25 stars! The extra .25 was because of the epilogue!!
I wasn't blown away with this story, but was definitely intrigued. The story reminded me of several celebrities in the tabloids we hear about. I was saddened and heartbroken for Willow. There were a lot of hidden factors that made Willow act the way she did and my heart broke all over again for her once those secrets were exposed.
I loved Cooper, but always felt he was hiding something. I was definitively cheering for him because he had such a tender heart. I wondered why he fell into such a protective role when it came to Willow. That baffled me, but made sense later. He didn't assume and he was open minded when it came to Wills and her side of the story.
I thought the story was a little slow that's why it wasn't a full 5 stars, but the epilogue had me in tears. Such a beautiful thing Cooper is.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved Asher and Nat's story!!! Gah! I am in love with Ghost. He is such a strong guy and he didn't give up on Nat!!!
This book had humor, romance, hotness, as well as some emotional. I found myself tearing up at the end. This was a great read and I can't wait to read the next installment of this series. What a great group of friends who all have each others backs. My favorite book series are where you find out what's going on in the lives of the other characters in the next books to follow!
This was the first 2% I knew I was going to love this book!!
"I wouldn't say I'm a slut. I'm just in touch with my inner slut. And, let me tell you, she rocks." Bhahaha!
Then ask tells Nat: "you're like pain relief to me. I can't explain it. You just are." Swoon!! Last one:
"Do you? You know? Love her?" Asher says "She's teachin' me how." Awwwwww so sweet!!!! Ok! Go read it!!

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2 - Colleen Hoover

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2)Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think I found my Dean Holder!!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

"Because I want to kiss her and make love to her and marry her and make her have my babies and I want it all to happen tonight." Hehehe I loved having Holders POV. I started reading the book side by side because I wanted to compare each sentence and feelings on both sides...and it was as passionate and beautiful as Hopeless was. I definitely recommend this book not only because we had more Holder, but we got a peek inside the story with Les. Les had a huge role in this story even if she wasnt alive, but we found out more and more about her and her life.

Six texting Sky:
"Sky, you are beautiful. You are possible the most exquisite creature in the universe and if anyone tells you otherwise, I'll cut the bitch." -- the last sentence sounds like something one of my friends would say.

"Let me inform you of something," I say, lowering my voice. "The moment my lips touch yours, it will be your first kiss. Because I'd you've never felt anything when someone's kissed you, then no one's ever really kissed you. Not the way I plan on kissing you." I love the way Holder loves Sky.
(view spoiler)[ this book unfolds and gives more detail and reasonings as to why he acts the way he does and specifically when he finds out Sky is Hope. (hide spoiler)]
You definitely HAVE to read Hopeless before reading this one.

"I need this. I need to know for sure that you're feeling every single thing that I'm feeling the moment my lips touch yours. Because. I want your first kiss to be the best first kiss in the history of first kisses."
I found few other pics of my Holder.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
Love his innocent baby face.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Holder is so sweet...it's not gross sweet, but super sweet! "Time has completely stopped, and all I'm thinking about while we kiss is how this is what saves people. Moments like these with people like her are what make all the suffering worth it."
I'm going to quote the whole damn book here soon! Most people I know don't prefer to read the same book with a different point of view, but I love love love Holder and I loved this one! Def recommend!

This Girl (Slammed, #3)This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never thought I could love Will more than I do now! So many questions answered. I absolutely loved the format of this book. It was perfect. He was telling Lake his story of how and when he fell in love with her. I was so stunned at the ending of Point of Retreat that there was no epilogue or a peak at their honeymoon. Definitely a great ending to the series!!!! Love!!

I butterflying loved it!!!!! The ending sucked tho lol!! I want more!! Keirsten was hilarious! I loved her character. She was so blunt and told you like it was..no holding back! I'm so glad Mrs. Hoover decided to continue the story with "This Girl". I needed the epilogue that Point of Retreat didn't have and the different sides of the story we got from Will, the poems/slams he wrote without her knowing. BUTTERFLYING BEAUTIFUL!!! Mrs. Hoover is AMAZEBALLS and will definitely be a must read whatever she writes! I was shocked to find out about Vaughn and Reece..what douches!

Wow! I'm speechless as I ugly cry! Such an emotional read. I didn't expect that ending! Gotta figure out how to write a review for this damn book!

Here goes nothing! I had no idea this book was going to be about this!! Wow! I knew New Adult and YA books were deep...but damn if I'm not ugly crying at the end of this one! From the beginning, I knew I was going to love Will, but wow...I didn't realize how much until the end of this book! He had to grow up fast after a tragic accident. He wanted guardianship of his 7 year old brother so much that he gave up his college life, girlfriend, and life in general to be his brothers world. He realized how much his brother meant to him. Now...that is commendable! Two years later, Lake also had a rough sequence of event happen to where she had to move to Michigan and leave her senior year of high school. She was so bitter about leaving, but never let it bother her relationship with her brother. She doted on him throughout the whole book. I loved it. Most 9 year olds get on your nerves, but she never acted as though he was a burden.
I don't want to give the story away, because it was too good not to read, but a lot of stuff goes down that is totally unexpected and I just love Will even more...didn't think it was possible but...wow!!! Her mom gave some sound advice: "find a balance between head and heart." Don't always follow your heart..listen to your head too! But don't just listen to your head...listen to your heart as well. Love it!
